I've decided to start a new feature here at Amused By Books - a monthly wrap up. I thought it might be a great way for new readers of my blog to see what I've been up to the past month and for those who read more often to check out my more popular posts. Let me know what you think!May has been a month of unimaginable ups and downs for me personally, but I am going to let this wrap-up only focus on the highs. In case you missed it, here's what I've been up to!
- This month I started my very first read-along with Gerbera Daisy Diaries and Once, Oh Marvellous Once. We have been tackling the Man Booker winning 'Wolf Hall' since the beginning of the month and are almost done! Pages 0-100, 100-200, 200-300, 300-400. If you haven't read it yet, this would be a good place to take a look and see if you want to read it soon yourself.
- I continued with the branding efforts of this blog by getting business cards and joining twitter (@amusedbybooks)!
- I read some great books that included: 'Everything I Needed to Know About Being a Girl I Learned from Judy Blume' and 'The Help'. It was a slow month thanks to 'Wolf Hall' and a family tragedy but both of these books were great - things should pick up in June!
- I also had some great discussions with my fellow readers on Books That Bring Me Comfort and Writing Book Reviews That Reflect YOU
Overall, while May was a good month for the blog, personally it was very difficult so I am really looking forward to June and the start of a new month. What are you all looking forward to?
It's been quite a month for you my dear!
ReplyDeleteLoved the read along...I hope we can do it again.
I'm new to you blog! I was in the middle about Wolf Hall. I thought it was very well written, but I didn't love it. I wanted more interactions with Anne and Henry.
