As for the health issues that my boyfriend was having and I discussed last month: well after almost two months of surgeries and recuperation he is finally back at work and we are on the other side of things! Oh happy days!
Well, thanks to all the rain, I've been driven inside and have read 9 books this month, more than any other month this year! This brings by grand total for the year to 25 which is awesome for me! Now onto the full review of what's been happening at Amused By Books this March:
Well, thanks to all the rain, I've been driven inside and have read 9 books this month, more than any other month this year! This brings by grand total for the year to 25 which is awesome for me! Now onto the full review of what's been happening at Amused By Books this March:
- While I did have my first Grade D book this month, all the other books I've read were very highly rated so they more than made up for it! No reading slump for me! All told I read: The Bird House by Kelly Simmons; The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker; Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte; Diary of an Ordinary Woman by Margaret Forster; The Matchmaker of Kenmare by Frank Delaney; Mr. Chartwell by Rebecca Hunt; Helen of Pasadena by Lian Dolan; The Ramen King and I by Andy Raskin; and Dear Mrs. Kennedy by Jay Mulvaney and Paul De Angelis. My favorite reads of the month would have to be a tie between a new favorite: The Bird House and an old classic that I'd never read before: Jane Eyre. What was your favorite read of March?
- There are so many wonderful, upcoming blogging events and I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of them. These include: Dewey's 24-Hour-Read a Thon (April 9th), the first Northern California Book Blogger Social (April 23rd), if you aren't going to BEA be sure to participate in Armchair BEA to feel a part of the action (May 23rd-27th), and I am thrilled to be able to go, for the first time, to the Book Blogger's Convention! I hope to see you at all of these events!
- Looking for some decorating tips? Well we have some extremes this month! Have you seen this bookcase that turns into a coffin so you can take it with you to the afterlife? If that's not for you, maybe you are in the market for something more tame and need a cute new bookmark?
- And don't forget, there is still time to sign up to win one of four books before the end of March if you haven't yet in my review book giveaway!

Let me just apologize for the weird sentence breaks going on up there! Something about the bullets really screwed the formatting up today for some reason!
ReplyDeleteYou had be worried there for a moment - I thought the last few days of March had slipped by without me realising, but I'm glad I've got at least one more day up my sleeve! Sounds like March was a great month for you, but I agree.. bring on the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteYou sure did have a good month of reading (well, except for the one grade D-did I miss which book rated that?)
ReplyDeleteI'm still thinking about the book case coffin, seems to solve the problem of what happens to the books I didn't get to before I went.;>
