| A self portrait! |
About a month ago I went to the eye doctor complaining of eye strain. All day at work I am on the computer. Then I come home and blog for a little bit and when I go to bed I read. So yes, I look at little print all day long. Apparently my eyes are tired and it might be a good idea for me to get some glasses so that my eyes aren't so tired all day. I don't
need them but they will help me not get headaches at the end of the week. I've never worn glasses before, except when driving at night. Is all of this reading and blogging making me old before my time? :)
So what do you think?
Very cute! As someone who has worn glasses since age 10 or so, you are lucky!
ReplyDeleteI'd say if they keep off the headaches, go for it. You look great.
ReplyDeleteI've worn glasses since my senior year of high school. I need them for seeing distance, but I can read with them off. I guess I'm so used to them, though, that when I don't wear them for reading, I get headaches.
No, I don't think you are old before your time. Our eyes change over the years, my eye doctor told me that after 40-43 years old everyones eyes change, no matter if they had 20-20 vision all their life...
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing glasses since I was 15 years old, and needed them many years before that. So count yourself fortunate. BTW you look nice in your glasses, and don't believe the old saying "Men don't make passes at women who wear glasses." it ain't so!!! ; )
LOL... I didn't mean that you are 40-43 years old. You don't look a day over 25.
ReplyDeleteYou looks good in glasses. It's always a good idea to protect your eyes. I have had glasses since the 9th Grade.
ReplyDeleteAw man. I also am on the computer all day at work and then read/blog at night. Maybe it's just a matter of time for my eyes, too!
ReplyDeleteYours look cute, though! The frames are flattering.
I think they're stylish! I've yet to find a pair that I like on my face, which is why I'm still in contacts. And yeah for fewer headaches!
ReplyDeletethose frames look great on you! anything to not get headaches and to look great too!
ReplyDeleteSome people look good with glasses and you are one of them!
ReplyDeleteMy eyes are actually getting better with age. That's what happens when you start off so nearsighted and then get old... you become farsighted and then wham...it all evens out. I have to take my glasses off to read now.
The glasses look great and don't make you look old. Not sure about the eye strain. I'm 52 and I've been a reader forever and only need glasses for distance.
ReplyDeleteYou all are making me feel so much better about this! Everyone at work just keeps saying 'wow, you got glasses!'. Is that a compliment? I can't tell! Thank you all for your kind words!
ReplyDeleteHi darling!

I think you look great in glasses. I've been wearing glasses since elementary school (and I won't tell you how many decades ago that was) and just last month my 20 year old had to get reading glasses so she wouldn't get headaches. So, it's not an old thing just and eye thing.
ReplyDeleteI like 'em! I hope you'll notice a big difference. I've worn glasses for distance since I was 21 and now need them less and less as I enter my 40s.
ReplyDeleteThey look really good! I use to buy fake glasses at Claire's so that I could wear glasses like the rest of my family. LOL That's a little embarassing to type actually!
ReplyDeleteI've had glasses since 4th grade, no big deal! You look great!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the club. I got my reading glasses last year.
ReplyDeleteThey look good :D
ReplyDeleteYay for glasses! I've worn them since I was a kid...and now I've graduated to bifocals.
ReplyDeleteGlasses are no big deal. You look great with them on. Not that you didn't look great without them :). Wait until you get "no-line bi or tri focals".
ReplyDeleteYour glasses look great! I've worn them since I was 13 myself - being able to see without headaches and squinting is worth it!
ReplyDeleteThey look great! :)
ReplyDeleteI've got specs too... I wear them about 75% of the time at the moment.
The glasses are cute! I started out near sighted and needing glasses to watch a movie or drive at night. Now that I am middle aged my eyes are the opposite. I only need glasses for reading but how annoying is that when I love to read so much!!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I wear my glasses proudly, even at formal events and I love them better than my contacts most of the time! Glad you're not straining your eyes anymore!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby started wearing glasses years ago for eye strain. His eye sight was good. It's his belief that the glasses have only made his eyesight worse and he regrets getting them when he did. He now has to wear them to see. Wear them with caution.
ReplyDeleteThay are cute though :)
