Experiencing Some Technical Difficulties

As in life, sometimes in blogging we just have those days (or weeks!) as the case may be! As you may have noticed if you are a regular follower around here, I am a pretty scheduled blogger. I like it that way. My posts go up every morning of the work week. Well it didn't go up today and believe me I tried! This is the second time this week where things kind of fell apart on me. Both times were Bloggers (the application, not me!) fault.

So my question to physical bloggers is this: do you pre-schedule all of your posts or not? I write all of my posts in advance but like to read over them one last time before I post them. This week that seems to have gotten me into trouble. It hasn't for the past almost two years but whose counting!

Any tips, please send them my way. Blogger in Draft has rolled out a beautiful new interface behind the scenes and while its pretty to look at, I think the kinks are still being worked out!

We should be back to regularly scheduled programming tomorrow.

  1. If I know I'm going to be out for a while I try to pre-schedule posts...and if I write something late at night, I schedule it for the next morning so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. But sometimes, Blogger eats things for me, too. Grrr...

  2. I've experienced a few kinks with this new Blogger in Draft thing too. But nothing that was too awful yet. I usually write posts in the evening, scheduled to go up in the morning. It's only failed on my once or twice.

  3. I haven't switched to the new Blogger in draft yet. It does look pretty, but I think I will stick with the existing one until it is a bit safer. I preschedule posts all the time using that one.

  4. Since Blogger did their redesign, my scheduled reviews have not posted at the scheduled time. I have to do it manually for some reason?? I have no clue why.

  5. I use WordPress and I pre-schedule everything. Even if I've written it in the middle of a weekend day I tend to schedule it for the next morning. I don't really know why - I just like setting them to go at certain times.

I've never had a post miss its schedule. I hope Blogger sorts out their system soon!

  6. I don't usually pre-schedule my blogs, because I tend to post when I'm done with my review (just who I am, I guess). So I haven't noticed the difficulty. But as Diane noted, the times I have pre-scheduled, the times have been off. I'm going to try with my Saturday Snapshot tomorrow and see what happens!

  7. I do it the same way you do. I write posts in advance and then edit them one last time the night before they go live. I have no tips, though, since I'm on wordpress.

  8. I'm glad to see I am not the only one who has experienced some issues with Blogger in Draft. Phew!

  9. I pre-schedule posts when I know I am going to be busy. Blogger is often problematic for me . I haven't tried Blogger in Draft yet, because I have heard other bloggers having issues with it.
