Of my initial list, there were five books on it. I have now read them all (final book review to come on Friday). I can say that the final two I liked the best so not the worst list but not the best either.
So in the end, of my summer reading, let's say Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, the most kick-back, kick-ass selections that I read were (all titles link to my reviews):
1. There's Cake in My Future by Kim Gruenenfelder
2. Faith by Jennifer Haigh
3. The American Heiress by Daisy Godwin
4. 29 by Adena Halpern
5. Before Ever After by Samantha Sotto
6. Sister by Rosamund Lupton
What do all of these books have in common? They are highly entertaining, totally engrossing, and make you want to turn the pages faster! Just what you need for beach getaways, long road trips, and escaping those family vacations! What was your favorite read of the summer?

Glad to see that you completed your list. There's Cake in the Future is on my wishlist. Hoping you have a great fall.
ReplyDeleteThere's Cake in my Future is new to me but I am definitely interested! I also will likely read Sisters at some point.
ReplyDeleteI had to many favs :D
ReplyDeleteI must have a look at yours
Some of these I've heard of, some I haven't, but I've not read any of them! Thanks for the recommendations. My favorite book of the summer was Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell, which delighted me even as it blew me away.
ReplyDeleteAll of these books look very inviting. I'd have to say my favorite summer books was the Vampire Academy series. That was a fun series to get lost in and forget the debilitation heat.

Faith, Before ever After, The American Heiress were all on my list of books to be read. When I do get to it that is!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on completing all the books on your list! I hope to get to Before Ever After soon.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on completing your goal! I haven't read any of those books...
ReplyDeleteTough choice! My favorite book of the summer...Matthew Norman's DOMESTIC VIOLETS was probably one of my favorites, but there were so many great ones from which to choose!
