Let me preface this with staying that we stayed on the outskirts of Ubud in Bali and loved it! It was centrally located and very safe. We could walk into town and take daytrips anywhere we wanted. If you ever need a recommendation for a nice, relaxing place to stay in Bali, just let me know.
