| I spent my Thanksgiving in Phoenix. I met these two nice, quiet gentleman! |
Around the blog, I managed to read quite a few books in November, with a grand total of eight this month! Bringing my yearly total 89. Dare I say I might read 100 books this year?! I don't want to jinx it since December is so busy but there is obviously a chance here so I'll keep you updated on my progress because if I do that would be a banner year for sure!
We only have one more month to finish my challenges that I have signed up for. Some I have already completed, some I am almost finished, and some I am laughably far behind! You can check in on my full progress on my challenges tab here. I do love a reading challenge and I am look forward to signing up for some more next year already!
All in all, the books that I read in November were pretty good! Here's the complete breakdown:
- Two were given a C rating: Sherry and Narcotics by Nina-Marie Gardner and Leaving Parma by Angie Sarich.
- Three were given a B rating: The Dressmaker of Khair Khana by Gayle Lemmon; How Shakespeare Changed Everything by Stephen Marche; and Dracula in Love by Karen Essex.
- Three were given an A rating, or my highest rating: The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown (an audio book); The CHICK-tionary by Anna Lefler; and What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty
It's hard to pick a favorite read for the month since I had three stellar reads this time, but if I had to choose, What Alice Forgot is the book I am still thinking about today so that is the one that I am picking as my read of the month! What was your favorite November read?
HOW did you manage to get between those two men? :)
ReplyDeletePicking up men are we? Did you forget about that ring on your finger? LOL!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is December. Unreal. We had a holiday party at the University YESTERDAY!! In November!! Why the rush?
Nice pic. Seems like you will be very busy this month, I hope you get eveyrthing done along with the reading.
ReplyDeletePlaying the field already, huh? ;-) Good luck on making it to 100!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to hit 100 books by the end of the year too. Fingers crossed for us both!
ReplyDeleteWell those men just looked so nice and quiet! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, December. That's ridiculous! Good luck trying to get to 100 (graphic novels always help with that :) ).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wanted to respond to your comment on my Gluten-Free Girl post and make sure you saw it, so I'm just going to copy it here in case: "You know, I really do think this would be a great gift for a person working on going gluten free, even with some of the problems I had with the organization. The author is really lovely and has such joy about eating, it’s infectious. I think that optimism would be good for a person who is working on going gluten free themselves."
I read Dracula in Love a year or so ago and was surprised that I actually liked it. One of these days I want to read The Weird Sisters. I have had it out from the library a couple times and still haven't found the time.
ReplyDeleteAnd we thought you were shy?? Cute photo. You had a great month.
