In Case You Missed It: Sept. and Oct. 2011

Well September and October have been quite the whirlwind and I fill like since I will now be planning a wedding, I am in for some more whirlwind months! However, I am really looking forward to it. I figured that it would be good for me to take some time out to reflect on the books that I read in September and October.

I didn't read as many books as I normally do in either month. I'd blame the fact that I was on vacation for that! However I did manage to read a good amount and to read some quality books both months. I am impressed that I have already reached my goal of reading 80 books in 2011! I've read 82 so far and we have two more months so it's pretty much guaranteed that I'll read more. This is by far the most books I've ever read in one year and tracking the reading has really helped push me.

September

I read 7 books in September. Except for one, all were rated Grade B or higher so it was a good reading month! In total I read: Blood, Bones and Butter by Gabrielle Hamilton; Wedlocked by Bonnie Trachtenberg; Bossypants by Tina Fey; Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M. by Sam Wasson; Radio Shangri-La by Lisa Napoli; Emily and Einstein by Linda Francis Lee; and Already Home by Susan Mallery. My favorite read in September would have to be Already Home!

October

I read 6 books in October. I know it doesn't sound like that many but luckily the read a thon helped me get back on track with my reading goals! In October I read: The Tudor Secret by C. W. Gortner; The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern; Holy Ghost Girl by Donna Johnson; Falling for Me by Anna David; The First Husband by Laura Dave; and Her Sister's Shadow by Katherine Britton. My favorite read on October would have to be Her Sister's Shadow! Hmm, maybe there is something to be said for the last book of the month!

So what was your favorite read in October?
