Have you read any of these? What are your favorites of the year?

Wow! I haven't read any of these! (Well, besides Jane Eyre!) Ugh... where have I been?
ReplyDeleteHa! I laughed when I read your first paragraph - I was tasked with the same thing...too many wonderful books this year, how to pick a favorite? I decided to create long and short lists - and my best of the year will post tomorrow. I see one of my favorites on your list too: The Weird Sisters...I read that one in January and it stuck with me to the end of the year! I love these lists - I've added some of your books to my must read pile :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I read a few of them:
ReplyDeleteConfessions of a Jane Austen Addict
She's Gone Country
What Alice Forgot (also on my list!)
Faith
I enjoyed them all. I hope 2012 is another good reading year!
Great list! What Alice Forgot and Bossypants made my long list. The Madonnas of Echo Park made my list the year I read it. I plan to read The Weird Sisters soon. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these. My favorite for 2011 was The Help.

Faith definitely made my list! I need to check out some of these others that you have here, they look great!
ReplyDeletePhew! Glad you all are agreeing with these!
ReplyDeleteSuey, don't feel bad! Sometimes I read other people's lists and I think I've been living in a tunnel because I haven't read a single one :) There's always next year!
Very nice list, I really want to read Siser and Already Home
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I loved What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty and 29 by Adena Halpern. I still have to read WEIRD SISTERS (which I hear is amazing) Daisy Goodwin, There's Cake in my future and Bossypants

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Confessions this year as well! Must get the second one.
ReplyDeleteI still have a review to write for Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict. I read it because of your recommendation, and totally enjoyed it! I loved Bossypants too. Seems like a great reading year for you in 2011, and looking forward to great recommendations in 2012!
ReplyDeletegreat books! Faith is on my top 5 for the year - I loved it! Bossypants is really funny - I listened to it on audio and was laughing out loud.

Col - that's so affirming knowing you read a book based on my recommendation and then ended up really liking it! Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI have a few of these on my bookshelves waiting to be read. I am glad to hear they were favorite books for you. Happy New Year! May 2012 be very good to you!
ReplyDeleteJust My Type is intriguing me. I can't imagine it being a very exciting subject, but so many people seem to love it I think I'll have to give it a try and challenge my perceptions. Have a wonderful 2012!
ReplyDeleteSmall Wars made my list too! You read across so many genres this year, and I love the categories you chose. Hears to a just-as-good reading year in 2012!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to see Small Wars on your list. It made my "best of" list, too! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Jane Eyre and am halfway through Bossy Pants!
