I found this book to be right in touch with today's teens.
I have asked my son to read this as I believe he will get as much from it as I did. Kristin Hannah has written this book in a way that is straight forward and so easy to read. Loved all of the characters and the roles they play with each other. An absolute must read!

I love Kristin Hannah's books. I've been reading them for a few years now. I esp. liked this one. I read it in the Spring of 2011. Yes it is sad, but, it is something that happens each year as the young ones graduate from school. When I finished reading it, I thought this should be required reading for every junior and senior in high school. Oh, well, that is just an old granny's thoughts. ; )

I've not read her work either but she is everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. The premise of this one sounds interesting to me because I have a Tween going to high school next year and he is hanging with a totally different crowd now. Not a bad crowd, but a different crowd. One with a lot more money and with money comes the other stuff.. cars, lots of outings, etc. I am not used to that. I am not an overprotective mom but you can't help but worry.
